Deadlock Causing Replication to Re-Initialize

I am running SQL server 2005. On Monday night replication received a

deadlock error. This caused it to re-Initialize. This is a MAJOR problem for

me...the servers are across the country and it takes 24+ hours to

re-Initialize.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? Does users with Admin rights

take precedence on dead locking issues? Is there a way after the fact to

find out what deadlocked?

Any hints/helps to help track down/stop this problem from happening again

would be wonderful.

Thanks
